Sapianz
CITY: SOONFIRST TABLES: INVITE ONLY

Your life is about to get a little less ordinary.

Sapianz puts 4 to 8 strangers around one table, somewhere good, with just enough of a plan. No swiping. No name tags. You just show up.

Move through the lines. Watch them cross. That's the idea.

So, what is it?

Sapianz is a new way to meet people in real life. We put a handful of people who've never met around one table, somewhere worth going: a café, a supper spot, a games night, a court, a studio. We pick the people and the place. You just show up. A few light prompts get things going, and the evening takes it from there.

4–8people per table. Small enough that everyone talks.
1good place, picked for you. Revealed on the day.
0profiles to scroll. You meet people, not pictures.
18–35students, new-in-towns, and anyone whose week needs a plot twist.

How it works

Four steps. Only one of them is effort.

You tell us a little about yourself, we do the matchmaking of a whole evening, and you do the fun part.

STEP 01

Tell us your vibe

Two minutes. What you're into and how you like your evenings. No profile photos.

STEP 02

We set the table

We put together a group that'll get along and pick a place worth going to.

STEP 03

Just show up

The venue drops on the day. Conversation cards are on the table. The rest is up to the evening.

STEP 04

Keep the good ones

Afterwards, tell us who you'd like to see again. If it's mutual, we'll put you in touch.

Where tables happen

Somewhere you'd want to go anyway.

Every table is at a real, public place we'd recommend to a friend. Some nights are dinner. Some are a game. Some get your hands dirty.

Cafés

Slow mornings, long coffees, better conversations.

Supper tables

Shared plates with people who were strangers at the starter.

7

Games nights

Nothing breaks the ice like a rule nobody understands.

Courts

Pickleball, badminton, football. Teams of strangers.

Studio nights

Pottery, painting, cooking. Something to do with your hands.

Late walks

The city after dark, with company.

What Sapianz isn't

Swiping through faces. Name tags and lanyards. A room of 80 people holding drinks. An hour of "so, what do you do?" A dating app in disguise.

Just a table, the right people, and a very good night.

Things that could happen on a Thursday

Your next favourite person is still a stranger.

Drag the stickers around. Every one of these is a real way a table can end.

OUTCOME 01You find a Sunday badminton partner.
OUTCOME 02Someone tells you about the best dosa in the city.
OUTCOME 03The table makes a group chat before the bill arrives.
OUTCOME 04You try a game you'd never have picked.
OUTCOME 05You stay two hours longer than you planned.
OUTCOME 06A stranger becomes a "we should do this again".
OUTCOME 07You find a new café.

Collect the nights

Every table gets a stamp.

Brunch, late tables, courts, studio nights. Your first one is No. 001. Collect five and you're a Regular, with first pick of new tables.

Fair questions

You're probably wondering.

Is this a dating thing?

No. Sapianz is about meeting people, full stop: friends, teammates, someone to try the new ramen place with. Tables are mixed and the vibe is a good night out, not a date.

Do I have to come alone?

Coming alone is the point, and everyone at the table is in the same boat. That's what makes it easy.

How do you decide who's at my table?

A short questionnaire about what you're into and how you like to spend an evening. We use it to put together tables where conversation comes easily. Then we leave the rest to the night.

Where and when?

The first city and dates are being set now. People on the list hear first and get first pick of seats.

How much will it cost?

Pricing is announced with the first tables. You pay for your own food and drinks at the venue, like any night out.

Who is it for?

Roughly 18 to 35. Students, people new to a city, people whose social life has turned into the same four faces, and anyone who'd rather be out meeting people than scrolling past them.

The list is open

Strangers, for now.

The first tables are small and invite-only. Get on the list and we'll tell you the moment your city opens.

I'd show up for

No spam. One message when your city opens, and that's it.
